Less C. Roadcap

MILLERSBURG • Less C. Roadcap, age 88, of Millersburg, passed away March 24, 2020, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. He was born April 5, 1931, in Fulks Run, Va., son the late Ward Roadcap Sr. and Mary Rinker Roadcap. Less was the widower of Eleanor Forney Roadcap, to whom he was married for 35 years. Less was retired from PennDot, where he worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Killinger. He also was a member of the Susquehanna Lodge 364, Tall Cedars Millersburg Forest 125, the Woodmen of the World, the Millersburg American Legion Post 326, and was a life member of the Millersburg Moose Lodge 59. Less loved the outdoors and spent much time traveling, camping, and cooking out with his wife Eleanor, when she was alive. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his dogs Tonka, Izzy and Bella. Less is survived by his son David B. Roadcap and his wife Darlene, of Millersburg; a stepdaughter Linda Smith of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Stanley Roadcap and Ward Roadcap Jr.; sisters Rita Warner, Eunice Lauer and Margie Bellis; and a stepson Bruce Hepler. The family will hold a private graveside service at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Killinger. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Less at a later date to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Millersburg Ambulance Association, 380 Berrysburg Rd., Millersburg, PA 17061.
