The Halifax Area School District approved to adopt the 2021 – 2022 Proposed Final Budget under Act 1 at its regularly scheduled School Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for the 2021 Road Maintenance Project located within the Borough of Elizabethville (Dauphin County), will be received at the Borough office located at 68 South Moore Street, Elizabethville PA 17023 until 2:00 PM prevailing time on Monday, June 14th, 2021 at which they will be opened. Successful bidder will be selected and notified by the Borough of Elizabethville at a later date.
The bids must cover all costs for the completion of this project as set forth in the Project Bid Documents. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary shall be furnished to cover the principal items of work to be performed under the contract that include: 1) Paving Overlay, 2) Double Fog Sealing and 3) all incidental work associated therewith.
Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents and solicitation details at no charge from the Borough of Elizabethville, at the above referenced address.
Any questions regarding the Project may be directed through the Borough Engineer.
Bid security in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid will be required in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, bank treasurer’s check or satisfactory bid bond made payable to or naming as obligee the Borough of Elizabethville, Dauphin County. All bids will remain irrevocable for 60 days after the actual date of bid opening in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978. Bidders are advised that they must comply with All State antikickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. You are required to submit an executed anti-collusion statement with the bid.
The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. A Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract and with satisfactory corporate surety will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder at the time stated within the Project Bid Documents.
The Borough of Elizabethville hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, defects, errors, or irregularities in any Bid received, to reject any and/or all bids submitted and to accept any bid which it may deem to be in the best interests of the Borough.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Halifax Borough intends to adopt the proposed Halifax, Borough Ordinance. The proposed Halifax Borough Ordinance specifically deals with the implementation of The International Property Maintenance Code which sets forth rules regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all properties, buildings, and structures within the Borough and providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use.
