ELIZABETHVILLE • Larry A. Shade, 77, died Nov. 7, 2019, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Berrysburg, Pa., the son of the late Allen and Beatrice (Deppen) Shade. Larry was married to Lily L. (Kahler) Shade for 56 years. He retired as a farmer. He was a member of Peace UCC, Berrysburg and a former member of Farm Service Committee. In addition to his wife Lily, he is survived by his daughter Crystal; son Todd and his wife Renee; grandson Brandon; granddaughter Kaitlin; and his sister Teresa Keiter. He was preceded in death by a son Jason. Services were held Nov. 12 at Peace United Church of Christ. Burial followed at Sweitzer’s Memorial Cemetery, Berrysburg. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Peace UCC, 150 Chestnut St., Berrysburg, PA 17005. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Elizabethville, handled the arrangements.
