LYKENS • Kenneth J. “Kenny” Burger of Lykens, Pa., passed away Monday Dec. 31, 2018, at Holy Spirit Hospital. Ken was born April 30, 1941, in Williamstown, Pa., to the late Ralph and Eleanor Doyle Burger. He was a graduate of the former Williamstown Catholic High School Class of 1959, was a member of Wiconisco Fire Co., Williamstown Legion, Liberty Hose Co. No. 2, and was a veteran of the 131st Army National Guard. He was instrumental in founding the Upper Dauphin Dart League where he shot darts for 49 years and won a state championship. Ken was an avid Penn State fan and enjoyed traveling to Walt Disney World, camping, the Phillies, shooting pool, playing euchre, going to camp, going to “sign the books” and being “Pappy.” Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years Janice M. Siemons Burger; daughters Leann Burger (Greg), Lori Burger, Ashley (Mike) Malick and Justine Burger; grandchildren Quinn and Stella; a brother Thomas Burger; and a sister Elaine Croft. Memorial services were held Jan. 5, 2019, from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 140 E. Market St., Williamstown, Pa In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williamstown EMS, 204 Station St., Williamstown, PA 17098. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was entrusted with arrangements.
