ELIZABETHVILLE • Kathryn (Miller) Wertz, 70, of Elizabethville passed away Monday, Jan. 25 at home. Born Sept. 21, 1950, in Lykens, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Klinger) Hunter of Lykens. She was a 1968 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School. She was a collector of porcelain dolls, Boyds Bears, Cherished Teddies and Santas. She also enjoyed baking cookies for all occasions, especially Christmas. Her family members were the most important people in her life. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daniel C. Wertz of Elizabethville, sons Daniel J. Wertz of Smethport, Pa., and Kevin E. Wertz of Gratz. The greatest joy in her life was her grandson, Dylan Jacob Wertz. She also is survived by a sister, Karen Gehring of Millersburg. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth G. Miller, Sr. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Sweitzer’s Memorial Cemetery in Berrysburg, Pa.
