HALIFAX • June E. (Orner) Lenker, age 96, of Fishing Creek, Middle Paxton Twp., formerly of Halifax, passed away March 3, 2020, at home. She was born May 4, 1923, in Gowen City, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Kerstetter) Orner. She was a life member and former president of the Halifax VFW Post 5750 and Auxiliary & VFW National Home. She was a member of the Victory Community Church, Fishing Creek. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Clair) Shoop, Halifax, and Phyllis Lenker, Harrisburg; brother, Wayne Orner, Elysburg; four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Lenker; brothers, Nolan, Grover, George, John, Charles, Clyde and her twin sisters, Phyllis and Marcelene. There will be a life celebration held at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in the social hall located in the lower level of the church Saturday, March 14, 2020, starting at 4 p.m. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central PA 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, is handling the arrangements.
