VALLEY VIEW • John J. Klinger, 78, died Dec. 17 at his residence. He was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Pottsville, a son of the late Austin and Florence Deiter Klinger. He was a 1958 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He was a truck driver for Kocher Coal Co. for 15 years and a truck driver for the Hershey Co. for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins; a member of F&AM Valley Lodge No. 797 and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Millersburg Forest No. 125. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Troutman Klinger; a son, Dirk Klinger of Hershey; a daughter, Kathy Raupers of Ulster; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
