READING • Jody “Joe” Knight, 73, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Rachel (Deitz) Rotharmel. Joe was a graduate of Halifax High School class of 1965. He later went on to receive his associate’s degree from HACC. Joe served proudly in the U.S. Army. During his life, he was employed as a truck driver, for Cott Beverage, retiring in 2003. Joe enjoyed wood working, fishing, playing cards and bird feeding. Above all, Joe’s pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren, family and his friends. He is survived by his sons, Tyler Knight of Wyomissing and Jonathan Knight of Bernville; grandchildren, Caleb and Alexis; and sister, Susan Sharp of Halifax, Pa.
