LYKENS • Joan M. Ney, 78, of Lykens, died Aug. 1, 2021, at home. She was born Feb. 21, 1943, in Lykens, Pa., the daughter of the late Claude and Ethel (Evans) Reedinger. She retired as a sales associate from Boscov’s at Colonial Park Mall after more than 30 years of service. She is survived by her son, Dennis Ney and his wife Sandy of Hegins; daughter, Beth Ney of Lykens; son, Michael Ney and his companion Sue Dupert of Williamstown; and son, David Ney and his companion Jennifer Fetterhoff of Lykens; grandchildren, Ian Yerges and his wife Cassandra, Dylan Minnich, Amy Ney, Maria Ney, Kylie Ney, and a great-grandson Sawyer Yerges. She also is survived by her sister, Claudia Welker and her husband Glen of Lykens. A funeral service was held Aug. 6, 2021, at Minnich Family Funeral Homes Inc., Williamstown. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Rd., Harrisburg PA 17112.
