ELIZABETHVILLE • Joan B. Leitzel, 81, of Elizabethville, passed away July 31, 2021, at the Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Harrisburg. She was born May 18, 1940, in Kulpmont, a daughter of the late Agnes and Jacob Long. Joan was employed at Johnson-Baillie Shoe and later at Dauphin County Prothonotary’s Office until her retirement. She liked to play cards, puzzles and loved her pets. She was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Cox. Joan is survived by her son, Roger Leitzel; two brothers, Jacob Long and Gene Long; two sisters, Loraine Golden and Evelyn Strohecker; and two grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, is in charge of the arrangements.
