VALLEY VIEW • Jeffrey Grose, 60, died March 21. He was born Sept. 21, 1958, in Pottsville, a son of Helen Lubold Grose and the late Walter Grose. He was a 1976 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. During high school, he also attended Schuylkill South Vo Tech for horticulture. He was a U.S. Army infantryman, attaining the rank of corporal. He was awarded the sharpshooter badge. He was in the custom door production department for Jeld-Wen, Pottsville. He was a member of Valley View VFW No. 8237, Pine Grove American Legion Post No. 374 and the Valley View Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Beulah Lubold; paternal grandparents Jennie and William Grose; a brother, Timothy Grose; a sister, Diane Grose; and a grandson. He is survived by three daughters: Stephanie Grose of Valley View, Jennifer Zigner of Minersville and Vicki Bitting of Scranton; eight grandchildren; a companion, Bobbie Scholl of Barry Twp.; three brothers: William Grose of Johnstown, Bradley Grose of Fountain and Matthew Grose of Ashland; a sister, Debra Domboski of Ashland; his former wife, Diane Herring Grose of Pitman; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 1:30 p.m., at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Visitation will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Friday, March 29, at 2:30 p.m. Anyone who wishes to attend may meet at the cemetery no later than 2:15 p.m. To sign the online guest book, visit buffingtonreed.com
