ELIZABETHVILLE • Jean M. Klinger, 81, of Elizabethville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, six days after her beloved husband passed. Jean was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Gratz, (a birthday she shared with her husband) a daughter of the late Lincoln and Ellen Bohner Leffler. Jean worked at the former Johnson-Baillie Shoe Factory, Millersburg, and Quaker State, Spring Glen. Most of Jean’s life was being a devoted wife and mother. Jean and Gene were a true love story, and being apart six days was just too long, so Gene, being the husband he was, welcomed her home to heaven with open arms. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Etheleen Burkey, Margaret Holtzman, twin June Maurer, Betty Keiter and Carol Weaver, and brothers, Guy and Raymond Leffler. Surviving are her daughter, Tammy Neiswender and her husband David, of Gratz; a son, Michael Klinger and his wife Paula of Duncannon; a brother, Paul Leffler of Gratz; two sisters, Janet Heberling of Williamstown and Bonnie Kuhns of Dauphin; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Nov. 17 at Sweitzers Cemetery, Berrysburg, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, c/o Activity Fund, 44 Donaldson Rd., Tremont PA 17981. The family once again wishes to thank the staff at Tremont for the wonderful care given to their parents. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., Tower City, was entrusted with the services.
