ELIZABETHVILLE • Jean Katherine Henninger, age 92, went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 12, 2020. She was born in Klingerstown, July 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hilda (Boyer) Straub. She was the widow of Lee I. Henninger, who passed away in 2003. Jean attended and was a member of the choir and women’s guild and served as a Sunday school teacher for St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Lykens. She had worked in the past for the former Muskin Shoe Co. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Henninger of Elizabethville; sister, Barbara West, Alexandria, Va., five nephews and nine nieces. She was preceded in death by brothers, Russell Miller, Clair Straub, Glenn Straub and William Straub. Services were held Oct. 15, 2020, at St. Peter’s UCC, Lykens, with burial in the church cemetery.
