DALMATIA • Jean E. Weller, 90, of Dalmatia, and formerly of Beavertown, died Nov. 4 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, where she had been a resident since Jan. 17, 2020. She was born June 14, 1930, in Palmerton, Carbon County, to Lloyd P. and Carrie Malinda “Lynn” (Phillips) Bohner. In 1932, they moved to their Dalmatia farm. Jean was a 1948 graduate and valedictorian of Lower Mahanoy High School and a 1952 alumna of Ursinus College. She was a teacher of both English and special education. She was a member of the Beavertown Home & School Club, her church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Kiwanis International. Her husband Russell A. Weller preceded her in death in 1989. Surviving are her three sons, Michael Weller of Millersburg, Timothy Weller of Rifle, Colo., and Christopher Weller of Beavertown; four granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at Pathhart Farm at the convenience of the family. James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, is handling arrangements.
