HALIFAX • Jean D. Enders, 87, of Halifax, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. Jean was born in Fontana, Feb. 9, 1933, a daughter of the late John and Mildred Rowe Paul. She was a graduate of Halifax High School. She taught private piano lessons from her home and also volunteered as a guide at Fort Hunter. Jean and her husband also volunteered for Hospice for several years. She was a very active member of Zion Stone United Methodist Church, Halifax, where she served as the church organist, pianist and choir director. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and the Halifax Garden Club. Jean will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to her family and her church. She enjoyed going to Penn State, gardening and traveling. She and Titus enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ritchie Enders Sr. in 1997. Surviving are her husband, Titus B. Enders, with whom she would have celebrated 69 years of marriage Jan. 26; one daughter, Julie Enders of Halifax; four grandchildren, Ritchie Jr., Joe, Jason and Desra Enders; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy Paul of Halifax; a sister, Joyce L. Reinfeld of Halifax, and nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Zion Stone United Methodist Church, Halifax, with Pastor John Lesher officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed; social distancing and masks are required. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.
