WICONISCO • Janet Irene Bixler, 85, of Wiconisco, died March 27, 2021, at home. She was born May 27, 1935, in Wiconisco, Pa., the daughter of the late Mervin and Julia (Snyder) Underkoffler. Janet was married to the late Lenwood L. Bixler Sr. for 61 years. She retired as a seamstress. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wiconisco. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bixler of Lykens, Pam Eshleman of Wiconisco and Janice Lawrence and her husband Doug of Wiconisco; son, Lenwood Bixler Jr. and his wife Connie of Wiconisco; grandchildren, Jamie, Matt, Megan and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Nikolas and Caleb. She also is survived by her brother, Harold Underkoffler of Clarks Valley, and a sister, Barbara Koppenhaver of Millersburg. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Donald, James and Dale, and sisters, Marion, Betty and Emily. The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, noon-1 p.m., at Calvary United Methodist Church. Services for both Irene and Lenwood will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Burial for both will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Calvary UM Church, 519 Pottsville St., Wiconisco PA 17097.
