James P. Moore
GRATZ • James P. Moore of Gratz, Pa., passed away Wednesday May 13, 2020, at home.
Jim was born Feb. 10, 1948 at Huntingdon, Pa., to the late Edna K. Moore.
He was a graduate of Bloomsburg College and was a teacher at Upper Dauphin Area High School, a paramedic with the former Upper Dauphin County Emergency Services and a member of Gratz Volunteer Fire Co.
He also enjoyed gardening.
Jim is survived by his wife, Virginia A. Styer Moore; sons, Christopher P. and Scott M. Moore; daughters, Catherine A. Grumbine and husband Barry and Amy C. Melinosky and husband Christopher; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgia Kahmek; and a brother, Denny Moore. . Memorial services will be scheduled at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Jim’s honor to Gratz Volunteer Fire Co., 202 S. Center St., Gratz PA 17030 or to Simeon Lutheran Church, 173 N. Center St., Gratz PA 17030. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
