TOWER CITY • James H. Schreffler Jr., 73, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center with his wife by his side. Born Jan. 30, 1948, in Wiconisco Twp., he was a son of the late James and Betty Schreffler. Jim was a very proud U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Michael Foods, Klingerstown. Jim was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid train collector and a talented sketch artist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Smeltz. Surviving are his wife, Ann Barry Schreffler; two sons, Daryl and Kirk Schreffler; four daughters, Angela Dietrich (Troy) of Dillsburg, Annette Brosius (David Sulouff) of Halifax, Andrea Fritz (Terry) of Jonestown, and Anita Flynn (Ed) of Lykens; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 6, 2021, at the Dimon Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Jim will be laid to rest privately with full military honors in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
