Born Oct. 7, 1951, in Birmingham, England, he immigrated to the United States with his parents and sisters at the age of 3. He grew up in Flushing, N.Y. where he attended St. Michael’s High School and met his sweetheart Mary (Caruso) Lynn. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. Hugh and Mary were married Sept. 30, 1980, at St. Mary’s church; they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. Hugh was a devoted father and hardworking family man who loved nature and riding his Harley. Hugh was predeceased by his father Alphonsus, mother Joan and sister Patricia. Hugh is survived by his adoring wife Mary; his daughter, Joan Gorham and her husband Thomas of Ridge, N.Y.; daughter, Anna Wolochuk and her husband Erick of Millersburg, Pa.; his loving sister, Maureen Allen of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.; sister Josie; and his five beautiful grandchildren Isabella, Emily, Matthew, Maximus, and Aviana. A viewing was held Dec. 4 at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Millersburg. Hugh was laid to rest at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa., with military honors.
