HARRISBURG • Howard J. “Howie” Neiter of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Premier at Susquehanna, Millersburg, Pa.
He was born March 27, 1932, in Toronto, Ohio, to the late Fred and Ida Smeltz Neiter.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the Carlisle AmVets No. 274 and Teamsters Union No. 776.
Howard is survived by two sons Thomas and Timothy Neiter; two daughters Deb Helman and Kathy Cawthern; a brother Luther; two sisters Mildred Rothermel and Jean Feidt; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Earl, Donald and Ray; sisters Helen Zyry and Faye Neyer.
Funeral services were held Nov. 27, 2018, from the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Lykens, Pa.
Burial was in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco, Pa.
