LYKENS • Horace E. “Bud” Brandenberger Jr., 79, of Lykens, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, in Porter Twp,. due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born March 23, 1942, in Warminster, he was a son of the late Horace Brandenberger Sr. and Lillian Snowden Stevens. He retired as a truck driver from Quaker State. Bud and his family had a great passion for horses; they rescued and rehabbed horses for many years while living in Gratz. He will be remembered as being a country western fan and always dressed the part. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Brandenberger of Berrysburg. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth A. Whyno Brandenberger; six children, Scott, Kitty and Charlie McIntosh all of Florida, Ginger Buchanon of Tennessee, William Brandenberger of New York and Victoria Brandenberger of Lykens; three stepchildren, Johnny Adams of Philadelphia, Charles Whyno, of Wiconisco and Isaac Shultz of Millersburg; four sisters, Loretta Able, Sherry Vandergrift and Helen Helstrom all of Quakertown, and Viola Endrick of Warminster; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. from the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 N. Second St., Lykens, with Rev. Lori Betsworth officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Tower City, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
