Indians’ defense holds on to beat Trojans by 1 point

MILLERSBURG • After defeating Upper Dauphin Area 75-62 on the road Jan. 5, one would imagine the Tribe would perform even better on its home court finale Feb. 5.
Though that would be true for a majority of the night, the Trojans showed true grit and determination down the stretch.
Even so, Millersburg rallied when necessary for a crucial 62-61 victory that gave the Indians one of the two available wild-card spots in this week’s Tri-Valley League Championship Series.
As expected, the opening quarter displayed plenty of emotion and energy in front of the packed-out Manning Gymnasium crowd.
Both defenses showed up from the opening tipoff, forcing one another to work for every bucket.
