ELIZABETHVILLE • Henry W. Henninger, 81, of Elizabethville, died June 20 at home. He was born Feb. 11, 1938, in Elizabethville, the son of the late Melvin and Anna C. (Snyder) Henninger. Henry was married to Lorraine (Schaeffer) Henninger for 56 years. He was the owner of Henninger’s Meat Market, Elizabethville, since 1976, where many customers enjoyed his famous homemade ring bologna and sausage. Henry enjoyed sharing in the faith and fellowship of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, chairman of the Property Committee, Sunday School Superintendent, Strawberry Festival committee and sang in the choir. In addition to his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his sons, Michael W. Henninger of Elizabethville and David H. Henninger and his wife Jess of Hegins; daughter, Joanne Rheem and her husband David of Harrisburg. He also was survived by his grandchildren who were the love of his life: Kyle and his wife Christine, Megan, Alejandro, Brooke, Ryan, Kelsey, Abigail and Addison; and greatgrandson, Diesel Ray. He was preceded in death by a sister Janet Erdman. Services were held July 22 at St. John’s Lutheran “Hill” Church. A private graveside service was held at St. John Cemetery, Berrysburg. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 270, Berrysburg, PA 17005.
