Harry E. "Bud" Weaver Jr.

ELIZABETHVILLE • Harry E. “Bud” Weaver Jr., age 88, of Elizabethville, Pa., passed away peacefully April 25, 2019. He was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Elizabethville, son of the late Harry Weaver Sr. and Winnie (Leitzel) Weaver. He was married to Bernice (Boyer) Weaver of Elizabethville, who survives him. They were married for 66 years. Bud was a self-employed local dairy farmer for 39 years before his retirement. He later worked as night security guard for Alvord Polk, Inc. in Millersburg for 11 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Berrysburg and served on the Church Council. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching and cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed his time with his granddaughter. In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by his daughter Deborah Koller (Ken) of Elizabethville; son David Weaver (Cheryl) of Herndon; granddaughter Joanna Weaver of Herndon; brothers Robert Weaver (Faye) and Fred Weaver (Jean), both of Elizabethville and James Weaver of Lykens; stepsister Phyllis Berman of Harrisburg; step-brother Ralph Weaver of New England; and a sister-in-law Karen Rickert of Lykens. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul Weaver. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, “The Hill Church,” in Berrysburg Friday, May 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Bruner officiating. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Bud’s honor to St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 215 St. John Rd., Elizabethville, PA 17023.
