SUNBURY • Gwen L. Wetzel, 67, died June 30, at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Leo and Verna Schmeltz Hatter. She attended Tri-Valley High School and received her nursing certification from Geisinger School of Nursing, Danville. She worked for 20 years at the Tri- Valley Pharmacy. She then entered nursing school and received her RN. She was an RN at the former Susquehanna Lutheran Village. She was a member of the Herndon Senior Center. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hatter. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Wetzel; two daughters, Daphne Webberson of Virginia, and Missy Carado-Hook of Spring Glen; four grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Hatter of Camp Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
