HALIFAX TWP. • Glenda S. Girard, age 75, of Halifax Twp., passed away April 25, 2019, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1943, in Bay City, Texas, daughter of the late Hubert and Mary (Bailey) Bell. She was the widow of Gerald E. Girard. She was a member and secretary for Feed My Sheep Ministry in Halifax. She was secretary and treasurer of the Marine Riders, Inc., and participated with the Toys for Tots in the Upper Dauphin Area. She helped with the food bank for Feed My Sheep Ministry. Glenda enjoyed doing crafts, especially during the Christmas season. Her biggest joy and love was her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Glen Allen Weldon (Joann) Halifax and Michael Wayne (Kimberly) Weldon, Herndon; stepsons, Gerald Jr., Halifax and Eric, Reading; halfbrother, Loyd Hendershot, Texas; five grandchildren: Michael, Laci, Jennifer, Dakota and Tanner; nine great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Abigail, Cole, Luke, Adrian, Amara, Elena, Ella and Emersyn. There will be a memorial announced at a later date. She will join her late husband in rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg/Elizabeth-ville, is handling the arrangements.
