MILLERSBURG • George Irvin Stroup, age 83, of Millersburg, died Dec. 9, 2020, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1937, in Millersburg, Pa., the son of the late Irvin Straub and Elsie (Troutman) Straub. George was married to the late Mary (Hendricks) Stroup. He retired from Brubaker Tool; in retirement he worked part time for Williams French Fries. He was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz, and the Millersburg American Legion. He is survived by his sons, Rick Stroup and his wife Teresa of Halifax and George Stroup; his daughter, Irene Lau of Millersburg; a sister, Mary; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home Ltd., Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
