DALMATIA • Gene Kenneth Hepner, age 84, of Dalmatia, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. Gene was born May 13, 1936, in Dalmatia, the son of the late Ralph (Jacob) and Cardie (Boyer) Hepner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marcia (Schorr) Hepner. He was a retired operations manager for the Iceland Seafood Corporation. Gene was also a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. After he retired, he also enjoyed working for Martz’s Game Farm. Gene was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Susquehanna Masonic Lodge No. 364, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 125 and the American Legion. He is survived by his four children, Patricia K. Shuttlesworth (Thomas) of Williams-town, Joseph L. Hepner of Dalmatia, Jeffrey K. Hepner (Angela) of Millersburg, and Kathy J. Wolfe (Douglas) of Dalmatia; his nine grandchildren, Andrew Shuttlesworth, Brian Shuttlesworth (Kori), Megan Campbell (Robert), Colby Hepner, Kyle Hepner, Allison Michael (Dillan), Garrett Hepner, Victoria Wolfe and Abigail Wolfe; two great-grandsons, Jaxon Shuttlesworth and Wyatt Campbell and his sister, Cardie Bingaman (Ronald). Private services will be held at the family’s convenience. Burial with military honors will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa., Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at 1 p.m. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home Ltd., Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
