Gary E. Shadle

ELIZABETHVILLE • Gary E. Shadle, age 78 years, of Elizabethville, Pa., passed away Wednesday Oct. 14, 2020, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Pa. Gary was born Jan. 15, 1942, at Elizabethville, Pa., to the late Ralph and Romaine Enders Shadle. He was an Army and Pennsylvania National Guard veteran, a 1959 graduate of Upper Dauphin Joint High School, a member of Masonic Lodge 797 of Valley View and Harrisburg Consistory. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and going to camp at the river. Gary is survived by his fiancée Sandy Shiffer; a son Corry Shadle and his wife Meghan; stepdaughter Shannon Schreffler and husband Troy; stepson Chad Shiffer; grandchildren Hope, Blake, Tyler, Sam, Ty’Jahlayah, Ty’Jahleem, and Dylan, a great- granddaughter Aubrey and a brother David Shadle. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a brother Donald; a sister Sara Ann (Sally) and a grandson Jayden. Graveside services with military honors and Masonic services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville, Pa.
