LYKENS • Gail L. Nye, 83, of Lykens, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. Born in Lykens, June 28, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Nye. Gail was a 1956 graduate of the former Lykens High School. She retired with more than 50 years of service from the Dauphin County Courthouse, last working as a receptionist for the Dauphin County Commissioners. Gail was extremely proud of her granddaughter Marcie, whom she loved dearly, and always enjoyed watching her play field hockey. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, going to the casino and looked forward to the yearly trip to Rehoboth Beach with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, Lamar and Bruce Nye; and a sister, Shirley Krepich. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Beth Boyer and her husband Larry of Dillsburg; her granddaughter, Marcie Frey and her husband Brett of East Berlin; two great-granddaughters, Leah and Lucie Frey; two sisters, Elaine Kreiser of Lykens and Marilyn Nye, with whom Gail resided in Lykens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following Gail’s wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Tower City, has been entrusted with the arrangements. To send online condolences to the family, visit dimonfuneral home.com. Paid by funeral home
