VALLEY VIEW • Fusae “Flossie” Starr, 87, died May 29, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Tokyo, Japan, a daughter of the late Macherio and Yoni Iwawaki. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Starr; and a brother, Nowaki Iwawaki. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ralph Starr; three daughters: Christine Schetting of Hampton, Va., Cathy Heffernan of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Coni Forcey of Sandringham, Australia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hediako and Osomo of Japan; three sisters: Yoko, Nodiko and Edisko, all of Japan; and several nieces and nephews.
