Francis S. Stimmell

JACKSON TWP. • Francis S. Stimmell of Jackson Twp. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Francis was born Oct. 22, 1940, at Wickhaven, Pa., to the late Charles B. and Mary Rose Dernovsek Stimmell Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Uniontown High School and a member of Susquehanna Masonic Lodge No. 364. He also enjoyed coin collecting. Francis is survived by his wife, Judith A. Jones Stimmell; a son, Francis S. Stimmell Jr. and his wife Donna; daughters, Brenda Baker and husband David and Karen Snyder and husband Jeffrey; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Baker; a brother, Charles B. “Sony” Stimmell; and a sister, Mary Rose Minghi. Memorial services for Francis will be held at a future date and time. The John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
