ELIZABETHVILLE • Faye G. Cooper, age 99, formerly of Lykens, and Pheasant Hill Estates, Harrisburg, passed away April 26, 2019, at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg. She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Elizabethville, daughter of the late George and Sallie (Snodgrass) Cook. She was a retired switchboard operator for the Federal Building, Harrisburg. Faye enjoyed planting and caring for flowers. She liked to lead exercise classes and watch the “Lawrence Welk Show.” She is survived by a stepson, Larry D. (JoAnne) Cooper; grandchildren: Scott Romberger, Kirby (Bonnie) Cooper, Richard (Leslie) Cooper, Kathryn (Greg) Light and Kristie (Justin) Buchmiller; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grand-children; one niece; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Cooper; daughter, Sandra E. Romberger; granddaughter, Tammy Mace; sisters: Roberta Winter, Mary Taylor and Eleanor Lisi; and brothers, John Franklin Cook and Edwin Cook. There will be a memorial graveside service held at Maple Grove Cemetery Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contribute toward a favorite charity.
