WICONISCO • Eugene R. “Jake” Castor, 78, died July 9 at UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg. He was born Nov. 2, 1940, in Wiconisco, a son of the late Luther and Dorothy Shomper Kaster. He was a 1959 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired machinist from the former TRW/Chromalloy, Harrisburg. He was a member of the Wiconisco Fire Co. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay Michaels Castor; a son, Robert Castor of Wiconisco; a daughter, Amy Castor of Wiconisco; a sister, Carol Scheibelhut of Williamstown; and a brother, James Caster of Wiconisco; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held July 15 from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Burial with military honors was in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
