Elsie Mae (Rudisill) Deitrich

WICONISCO • Elsie “Doll” Mae (Rudisill) Deitrich, 86, of Wiconisco, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was born Feb. 26, 1935, in Wiconisco, daughter of the late Harper and Anna (Miller) Rudisill. She was a 1952 graduate and valedictorian of the former Wiconisco High School. Elsie was a homemaker. She was a member, treasurer for 66 years, Sunday School and Bible School teacher of the former Wesley United Methodist Church in Wiconisco and a current member of the Immanuel/Wesley Church, Loyalton. Elsie enjoyed gardening, bird watching, search-a-word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, soap operas, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, professional baseball and basketball, babysitting her grandchildren and watching them play sports. They were her pride and joy. In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Hand and a brother, Robert Rudisill. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Harold (Hop), to whom she would have been married 65 years June 30. Also surviving are five children, Terri Kulp of Wiconisco, Randy Deitrich (Linda) of Lexington, Ken., Curt Deitrich (Sheri) of Wiconisco, Jill Deitrich of Wiconisco and Ann Reiner (Tom) of Manheim; eight grandchildren, Paul Kulp III of Lykens, Michael Kulp (fiancé Linda Van Sickle) of Wiconisco, Matthew Deitrich of Nicholasville, Ken., Tanya Reeder (Sean), of Shelbyville, Ken., Rebecca Johnson (Jesse) of Louisville, Ken., Shane Zellers (Tessa) of Tower City, Kaila Deitrich (fiancé, Ryan Perry) of Womelsdorf, and Isaiah Reiner of Manheim; five great-grandchildren, Jacey Kulp, Carter Deitrich, London Reeder, Laeton and Lola Zellers; a sister, Barbara Coates of Wiconisco; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held June 21, 2021, at Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City, with Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial was in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg PA 17110.
