DALMATIA • Elizabeth Agnes Witmer, 95, of RD Dalmatia (Malta), Pa., passed away Aug. 8, 2019, at Premier at Susquehanna Village. She was born July 8, 1924, in Jackson Twp., Halifax, the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Clara (Bastian) Snyder. She worked as a part-time bank teller at Dalmatia Bank and as a teacher’s aide for Line Mountain School District. She was a member of St. Luke’s UCC Church in Malta, where she was the organist for 50 years. She also served as Sunday School superintendent and teacher. She was a member of the Public School Employees Association and the Herndon Senior Action Center. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crafts, crocheting and traveling. She was the wife of 52 years of the late Haven Witmer. She is survived by three children: Ann Sue, wife of Ray Walborn (deceased), Paul and his wife Judy, David and his wife Jan; six grandchildren Michelle Jones, Andrea Haynie, Joshua Witmer, Abby Witmer, Dustin Witmer and Cami Witmer; six great-grandchildren: Leah, Kevin and Sarah Haynie, Natalie and Havin Witmer and McKenna Payton; and a sister Ruth Maurer. Services were held Aug. 10, 2019, at St. Luke’s UCC, Malta. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
