MILLERSBURG • Edith Irene “Bup” Tressler, age 86, of Millersburg, passed away surrounded by her loving family Nov. 14, 2019. She was born Sept. 1, 1933, in Trevorton, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Catherine (Hoover-Myers) Phillips. Edith was a member and former hospitality greeter of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Red Hats Society. She enjoyed baking and cooking, especially for family gatherings. She is survived by her husband of more than 66 years, Elmer Allen Tressler; four children: Bruce A. Tressler, Millersburg, Catherine I. Ford and companion Michael Fulkroad, Millersburg, Jean M. (James A.) Martz, Halifax and Susan K. (Scott) Hoy, Halifax; two stepsisters, Mary Jane Witmer, Elizabethville and Ada Bower, Lewisburg; nine grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Quick, Harrisburg, Amy Ford and Beth Ford, both of Harrisburg, Charles Ford III, Millersburg, Brandi L. (Rodney) Witmer, Millersburg, Michael J. Martz, Mechanicsburg, Cameron (Chelsea) Hoy, Bloomsburg and Jarrett and companion Brianna Rowe, Carlisle; seven geat-grandchildren: Peyton Quick, Gavin Ford, Breawna Ford, Roman and Milani Ford, Emmalie Enders and Marshall Witmer. She was preceded in death by a son, James A Tressler; grandson, Corey Tressler; son-in-law, Charles Ford Jr.; brother, Norris Phillips; and sisters: Sara Kramer, Lydia Raup, Betty Wilson and Edna Stepp. There will be a viewing held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd., Millersburg, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, from 10-10:45 a.m. Services will continue at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Hoffman officiating. There will be a fellowship meal immediately following the service in the church social area with burial to follow at St. Lukes “Malta” Cemetery.
