TOWER CITY • Dorothy Schaeffer, 73, died Jan. 6, at UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg.
She was born July 2, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Mills-Garner Michitsch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Schaeffer.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Miller and Stacey Sherack; and a son, Charles Promensky, all of Tower City; stepdaughter, Tammy Schaeffer of Tower City; a stepson, Jon Schaeffer of Wernersville; two brothers, Ken Michitsch of Harrisburg and Bill Michitsch of Tivoli, N.Y.; a sister, Anita Pfeffer of Hummelstown; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 11 from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
