HALIFAX • Donald Lee Strauser, 82, of Halifax, died Nov. 4, 2019, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice residence, Harrisburg. He was born in Enola Dec. 23, 1936, the son of the late Cletus and Juanita (Eckerd) Strauser. He retired after more than 50 years as a barber at Semoff’s Barbershop in New Cumberland. He was a member of Eureka West Shore Masonic Lodge No. 302 F&AM and the Lykens Valley Beagle Club. He enjoyed hunting deer and rabbits, riding motorcycles and breeding and training beagles. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marlyn C. (Schaeffer) Strauser; his children, Crystal Paul of Springfield, Va., and Brenda Strauser of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Kenneth Strauser of Beaverton, Ore. and Samantha Strauser of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Cletus Strauser Jr. of Dalmatia. Memorial services were held Nov. 11, 2019, at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Elizabethville. Burial was in the cemetery of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Enola. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O.
