Donald L. Ressler Sr.

WICONISCO • Donald L. Ressler Sr. of Wiconisco, Pa., passed away Saturday Feb. 22, 2020, at home. Donald was born May 27, 1939, at Wiconisco, Pa., to the late George R. and Ruth M. Yeager Ressler. Don was an Army veteran, a graduate of the former Wiconisco High School Class of 1957, a member and past director of Faith Evangelical Congregational Church, Wiconisco, a member and past fire chief of Wiconisco Fire Co., a past director and first responder for the former L & W Ambulance Association and a local representative for PEMA. He enjoyed camping and most of all spending time with his family. Don is survived by his wife Carolyn D. Lenker Ressler; a son Donald L. Ressler Jr. and his wife Denise; a daughter JoAnn Slingwine and husband Larry; grandchildren Deidra, Jon, Lee, Arielle and Mallory; great-grandchild Faith; brothers Galen, George, Gerald and Clifford; and sisters Barbara, Claudia and Kathy. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by brothers Neal, Douglas, Jeffrey and Lionel. Memorial services will be held Friday Feb. 28, 2020, at 11 a.m. from Faith Evangelical Church, 543 Center St., Wiconisco, Pa. 17097 with Pastor Rick Kuhn officiating. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Donald’s name to his church at the above address.
