Wolf: Sports spectators now in schools’ hands
Gov. Tom Wolf (Sept. 2) announced that guidance has been amended regarding the attendance of spectators at high school sporting events this fall.
According to the update, spectators may in fact now attend events indoors and outside.
However, according to Wolf, it is up to each individual school district to decide how to permit spectators while staying within the previously-mandated occupancy guidelines.
Those guidelines limit indoor occupancy to 25 or fewer people; and outdoors to 250 people or less.
These numbers include spectators, team members, coaching staffs, game support personnel and news media.
The Sentinel will track how area school districts plan to implement this guidance and report any information that is made available.
