DAUPHIN • Deborah A. (Snyder) Thompson, 65, of Dauphin, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, at UPMC Community General Hospital. Born Sept. 29, 1955, in Millersburg to the late Richard and Mary (Eshenaur) Snyder. She was a graduate of Millersburg High School and Bloomsburg State College. Deb had taught special education with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and at Lower Dauphin School District. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dauphin, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, confirmation teacher, church council member and a member of the Gleaners group. The highlight of her life was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Deb was the recipient of a lung transplant 20 years ago, thanks to her heroes, her donor family, Anita and Dave Boswell. Surviving is her husband, Scott A. Thompson; son, Nathan Thompson and his wife Katie of James Creek, Pa.; daughter, Heather Meier and her husband Joe of Blue Bell, Pa.; four grandchildren, Natalie Thompson, Lydia Thompson, Ben Meier and Annaliese Meier; mother-in-law, Carol A. Thompson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Nancy Thompson; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Yvonne Laudenslager, and Carol Hose; a nephew, Steve Laudenslager; and a niece, Angela Horth. A celebration of her life was held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 318 Erie St., Dauphin PA 17018. Arrangements were handled by the Jesse H.
