HALIFAX • Dean Reed Shaffer, 82, died Oct. 1 at Spring Creek Rehab & Health Care Center, Harrisburg. He was born Aug. 25, 1937, a son of the late Linn and Laura Keller Shaffer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Sudik Shaffer; a brother, Coyle; and two sisters, Lena and Carrie. He is survived by his children, Sharon Koreniewski and Bradley Reed Shaffer; four grandchildren; a brother, Glen; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Oct. 11 at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisburg. Contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3495 Winburne Munson Rd., Morrisdale, PA 16858. The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
