HALIFAX • David Eugene Roadcap, Sr., 70, of Halifax, Pa., entered into eternal rest Jan. 19, 2019.
He was born Sept. 4, 1948, to Roy Roadcap, Sr. and Betty McCahill, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Roadcap; his daughter, Heather Ney (Dennis); his son, David Roadcap, Jr. (Lisa); his stepdaughter, Tammy Casner (Gary); his stepson, David Shepley (Ricky); and his stepson, Jeffery Shepley, who preceded him in death; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters, Donna Shrauder, Barbara Youells, Margaret Westbrook, Ardella Heishman, Amy Hamilla, Teresa Crawford and April Rhoads; brothers, Roy Roadcap, Jr. and Thomas Roadcap; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He worked at Johnson Baillie Shoe Factory, a supervisor at Willits Shoe Factory, and The Bon Ton. David was a 13-year double lung transplant survivor, who enjoyed relaxing at Raystown Lake. He loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles team play football.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 982 Medical Rd., Millersburg, Pa. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.
