Darlene I. Sturm
HALIFAX • Darlene I. Sturm, 73, beloved Mother and “D” (Grandmother), was called to her eternal resting place surrounded by her loving family May 19, 2020.
She was born December 8, 1946 in Halifax, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles A. and June V. (Stahl) Sturm.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn C. Strohecker and her husband Jack II of Halifax; as well as her granddaughter, Carissa L.S. Hannum and her husband Dylan of Silver Spring, Md. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra, Jerry, Neil (Nancy), Paulette (Evan), Darold (Ann), and Brenda (Jerry).
Darlene was an ambitious worker with a strong work ethic. When she retired from Glen-Gery Brick after 25 plus years of service, she was a distribution manager. In addition, she owned and operated numerous car lots in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Her most special moments were spending time with her family. D especially loved being with Carissa, her pride and joy. Darlene’s favorite pastime was watching NASCAR races and being with her cat, Boots.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation in Darlene’s memory.
