TOWER CITY • Danny Ray Carl, Jr., 18, Tower City, beloved son of Venus Landor-Whitmore and the late Danny Carl, passed away from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020. His father and sister passed away in the same accident. He is survived by his mother, Venus Landor-Whitmore and stepfather Adam Whitmore, of Tower City; his brother Ryan Carl and his wife Kelly, York; stepbrothers, Ethan, Ezra and Ezekiel Whitmore; his maternal grandparents Rosa M. Clemente, Wrights-ville, and Angel and Deborah Nunez, Baltimore, Md.; two nephews, Rylan and Sawyer; and a niece Averie. His loving aunts, uncles and many cousins also survive him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tommy Carl Sr. and Margaret Carl. Danny was a 2020 graduate of Williams Valley High School, where he played soccer and was a former member of the Viking Pride Marching Band with the percussion line and was a member of the stage crew for the high school musicals. Danny was dedicated and consecrated in the Muir Foursquare Gospel Church. Danny was currently employed by Metal Industries, Hegins. He could often be found playing streetball, Xbox and hanging with his many friends. It could be said that Danny never had an enemy; if you were his friend you were truly blessed. He was a great listener. He will be remembered for always smiling, walking on his tiptoes and being a great snuggler. A public visitation will be held for Danny Jr., Danny and Isabella Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m.-noon from the Muir Foursquare Gospel Church, Muir. Full CDC guidelines will be followed. and masks are required. Following the visitation, a private funeral service with his grandfather Bishop Dr. Angel L. Nunez and Pastor Luke Heald officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Muir. The service will be livestreamed on the Muir 4SQ Church and the Dimon Funeral Home Facebook pages. A memorial scholarship fund has been established. Donations may be made to the Danny Jr. & Isabella Carl Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Mid-Penn Bank, 545 E. Grand Ave., Tower City, PA 17980.
