ELIZABETHVILLE • Daniel J. Winter, 73, of Mifflin Twp. died Sept. 17 at his residence. He was born in Etters Oct. 27, 1945, a son of Lillian and Gordon Winter. He was employed as a manager for IGA, worked for the 7up Co. and later as a produce manager for Giant Foods. He attended Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz, and was a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife, Martha Winter; two sons, Duane Winter of Virginia Beach, Va., and Darrell Winter of Dauphin; daughter, Michelle Niewoonder of Valdosta, Ga.; brother, Donald Winter of Florida; sister, Dorothy Witter of Cross Keys; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene, Robert and Melvin Winter; sisters, Valeda Hughes, Theda Twigg and Dorcas Myers. Services were held Sept. 21 at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz.
