LYKENS • Daniel F. Petershiem died Feb. 23, 2019, at his home in Lykens, Pa. He was born May 13, 1938, in Leola, Pa. Daniel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was the husband of Mary Stoltzfus Petershiem. In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by nine sons and two daughters; Aaron at home, Eli of New Holland, David married Ruth Allguyer of Gap, Amos married Arianne Stoltzfus of Lykens, Raymond married Sylvia Stoltzfus of Lykens, Daniel married Martha King of Gordonville, Ivan married Barbie Petershiem of Gap, Mervin married Fannie Zook of Spring Glen, Leon married Lydia Beiler of Lykens, Anna married Jonathan Stoltzfus of Gap, and Lydiann married Benuel King of Lykens; 63 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother Aaron Petershiem; and a sister Sadie Petershiem Fisher. He was preceded in death by a brother Christ Petershiem and a grandchild. Funeral services were held at the family’s home Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 at noon. Burial was at Fisher’s cemetery in Lykens. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., in Elizabethville, was entrusted with the arrangements.
