CARSONVILLE • Dale L. Zimmerman, 86, of Carsonville, passed away Jan. 10 at Carolyn’s House-Hospice of Central PA, Linglestown.
He was born Nov. 1, 1932, in Carsonville, the son of the late Raymond and Anna (Schoffstall) Zimmerman. Dale was the husband of the late Mary (Snyder) Zimmerman.
He retired as a maintenance supervisor for Nationwide Insurance.
Dale served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Spending time with his family was of great importance for his life. He enjoyed gardening, caring for his fruit trees and fixing just about anything that needed fixing. He was a member of St. James Church, Carsonville.
He is survived by daughter Dawn M. Allen and her husband Bruce, granddaughter Asia of Lynchburg, Va., brother Glenn Zimmerman of Halifax, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Floyd and Clair, and sisters Merle, Arletta, Verna and Dorothy.
Services were held at St. James Church, 3502 Powells Valley Rd., Carsonville, Jan. 15. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
