Cherry Blossom Festival returning

MILLERSBURG • Officials with both the borough and Millersburg Area Working Together confirmed last week that the Cherry Blossom Festival is returning for 2021. Canceled last year due to the state’s ‘‘stay at home’’ directive, the event is scheduled for Saturday, May 1 at a new location – the area including the Riverfront and MYO Parks. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required. As before, the festival will include vendors and entertainment (Shotgunn is among this year’s scheduled performers.) Other returning features will be the fish toss, raffle and barbecued chicken. A car show is a new element of this year’s first Saturday in May gala. Organizers wanted the festival – a signature Millersburg event most every year since 1989 – to resume in some form this year to give
